YOUTH AND TEEN FITNESS
Stay active and develop healthy habits with programs designed just for youth and teens. These programs give you the opportunity to learn new equipment, practice proper technique, discover new workout ideas all while having fun and making friends!
Youth Wellness Center Orientations
We want everyone to have the opportunity to work out and be healthy! Youth are invited to learn how to safely and properly use the cardio and weight training equipment in our fitness centers*. This is available to members ages 11-14 years. Contact your local Y to schedule an appointment.
*Neenah-Menasha YMCA has a designated Fit Zone area for children ages 11-14 years old to work out. Orientations are still required.
Youth & Teen Synergy

YOUTH STRENGTH ACADEMY
Held at Appleton YMCA
Strength and Conditioning for Everyone! Visit our Healthy Living Studio or Wellness Center at any time during the designated hours to take part in the “workout of the week.” These 30-minute workouts are designed and supervised by our wellness staff specifically for 8-15-year-olds.
All levels of activity are welcome! This program is FREE for Y Members.
- Ages 8-11 - Introductory
- Tuesdays and Thursdays • 4:00-6:00 PM
- Workouts are mostly light weights or bodyweight exercises. Introduction to different exercises and the proper way to strength train is the focus.
- Ages 10-15
- Tuesdays and Thursdays • 7:00-8:30 PM
- This age group will explore several workout plans, including but not limited to functional exercises and free weights.
