When will the Y take over ownership of VF&R?

August 9, 2021, existing members of VF&R and the Y will be able to use all six locations with no change in membership fees.

Will the existing VF&R location offer insurance-based memberships for active older adults?

Yes, beginning September 1, 2021, and includes SilverSneakers, Renew Active and Silver&Fit.

Will my membership fee change?
  • Your current membership fees will remain the same through 2021.
  • Tennis has additional fees.
  • Any programs that currently have fees will remain as paid programs.
  • For the remainder of 2021 membership fees and offerings related to the membership type you currently have will remain the same unless you choose to make a change.
Will my membership allow me to access all locations?

Yes, you will have access to all 6 locations beginning August 9.

I have a membership at VF&R and the Y, how will this affect me?

The Y will be reaching out to members of both facilities to discuss membership options beginning August 9.

Will financial assistance be available?
  • The Y offers a Membership for All program to those in need and provides membership and program assistance within our available resources.
  • This will be available at the Ogden Family YMCA Fitness and Tennis Center beginning August 9.
  • Program assistance restrictions may apply.

Will VF&R begin offering youth program like the Y does?
  • VF&R is intended to be a fitness and tennis center, and there are no plans to run current Y youth programming out of this facility at this time.
  • Current membership age restrictions at VF&R will remain the same.
